TREE APPRAISAL

Tree appraisal assigns monetary importance to any tree on a site that is indicative of the tree's contribution to the site, especially when construction may affect plants on the property. Basically, an appraisal constitutes developing an opinion of value or cost of a site's landscape elements.

CABLING & BRACING

Certain trees may lose their structural integrity, due to disease, decay, pests or just weather. Cabling and bracing, when used properly, help support a tree, and can help you avoid having to remove the tree

PRUNING, TRIMMING & THINNING

Trimming can serve two important purposes; hazard reduction and maintenance. Hazard reduction can get rid of branches that might compromise the structural integrity of the tree. Maintenance can make your tree more aesthetically pleasing. We offer both services, in order to keep your trees healthy and attractive.

Gontree Contact
  • What does it cost to remove or trim a tree?
It is not a fair practice to estimate tree work over the phone, there are so many situations that change the job. For example, different enviroments, hazards and which equipment should be brought out, all will dictate the price of the job. We would be happy to provide a free estimate and assessment of your tree situation. We won't 'leaf' you hanging!
  • Does it cost money for an estimate?
All estimates are free in Brandon. The only time we charge is when the estimate is out of town or when a formal evaluation of the property is done by a Certified Arborist. Unbe-leaf-able!
  • Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, We are fully insured and licensed to perform work. We will provide a certificate of insurance upon request. We also have safety programs in place that are practiced and maintained every day.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque, e-transfers and all credit cards. You can send a cheque to Site 200 Box 22 RR2 Brandon R7A 5Y2. You may also leave payment with our crew after the job is completed. We will not ask for payment till the work is complete.
  • Do you haul away all logs and branches?
Yes, Most of the time we remove all debris from our work site. You may speak to our estimator about us leaving firewood behind for your own use.
  • My tree came down in a storm, what do I do?"
Contact us right away as we offer emergency tree care! If your tree is touching a power line, stay away from it until a professional can assess the situation! Please call our emergency number HERE We work closely with Manitoba Hydro so you only need to make one call. We will be sure all the required people will be on the scene.
  • Can anyone work on my trees?
Without proper training, an inexperienced person can cause property damage and personal injury. They can also damage the tree with inproper trimming. We highly suggest hiring a professional tree nerd... err... arborist.
  • What are the benefits of having trees on my property?
We. love. trees. There are so many benefits of having trees on your property. A few examples would be that trees combat climate change, they provide oxygen, they cool our yards, and even prevent soil erosion. A perfect guest on any lot, trees can block sounds from your noisy neighbours or highways, and bonus - they increase property values.
  • Is my tree sick?
Did it sneeze? Just kidding. Well... It's hard to say without doing an inspection. Oftentimes, tree issues are environmental or are difficult to diagnose because some ailments have similar symptoms. The best solution is to contact our tree specialist to get an accurate diagnosis.
  • What equipment will be used?
Depends on the job and accessibility. We have the ability to climb AND use aerial equipment. We will pick what is best for the safety of the job, and the best for the yard.
  • Should I save my tree?
We like to try to save every tree. But we can tell you if your tree can be saved or an alternate solution is necessary.
